Krys Gieskieng, a native Coloradoan, was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado. From an early age, Krys has expressed an interest in art, experimenting with a variety of medias and styles.
A graduate of the Colorado Institute of Art in 1989, she pursued various freelance projects and worked in advertising as a graphic artist.

Krys is an active transparent watercolor painter and has studied at the Art Students League of Denver under artist Sandra Kaplin among others. Her work has been showcased at several local galleries, and art festivals.

Krys’ paintings are true to transparent watercolor tradition and demonstrate her interest in color and reflection. Many of her paintings reflect her interest in Colorado mountain towns and other interesting places she has traveled.
